How it Started

The Idea of Cheshire Bars first came about when Jemma (Events Manager for Cheshire Bars) married Ian in June 2005. The wedding reception was held in a marquee which was very easy to plan as there are so many companies today who provide a service for marquees. The caterers, linen, tableware etc were all booked early on with the only problem being a bar. Jemma and Ian could not find a company within 50 miles who could provide a realistic bar area (no tressles), draught larger and bitter, staff and glasses. The couple ended up hiring the actual bars which were very expensive and the caterers ran the bar which was a nightmare! Drinks were constantly running out, no draught beer, the bar was understaffed, drinks were warm.... the list goes on. And so, Jemma and Ian together with 3 friends (Paul, Dave and Dane) set-up Cheshire Bars.

Cheshire Bars's first year was mainly about testing the water - was there really a demand for such a service? The answer being YES YES YES. And through a small amount of advertising and a lot of word of mouth the summer of 2006 right up to today has been manic. Cheshire Bars has provided a service for weddings, birthdays, house warmings, corporate functions, christenings, Christmas functions... the list is endless.

Cheshire Bars is so proud of what it has achieved in such a small space of time. Already the future is looking very bright and hopefully Cheshire Bars can help many more customers very happy.
